One of my favorite cookies for dunking in milk, hot chocolate or coffee is chocolate crinkles. They are not too sweet and perfect for soaking up liquid for a moist bite of delicious cookie. Try making them if you need a change from the traditional chocolate chip cookies. You will not be disappointed.
Ingredients You Need
• ½ Cup of Soft Butter
• 1 2/3 Cups of Sugar
• 2 Teaspoons Pure Vanilla Extract
• 2 Eggs
• 2 One Ounce Cubes of Bakers Chocolate
• 2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
• ½ Teaspoon Salt
• 1/3 Cup Milk
• ½ Cup Chopped Walnuts (optional)
• Powdered Sugar
• Non-Stick Spray or Butter
Supplies You Need
• Large Mixing Bowl
• Small Saucepan
• Electric Beaters
• Cookie Sheet
• Measuring Cups
• Measuring Spoons
• Cooling Rack
Making the Cookies
• Take your small saucepan and place the chocolate squares in the bottom and put it on low heat. Stir until all the chocolate is fully melted then pour it into your large mixing bowl.
• Add the butter, sugar, vanilla extract and eggs to your mixing bowl and mix well using your electric beaters. Then add your flour, salt, milk and walnuts to the mixture and mix with your electric beaters again.
• Once the cookie dough is mixed place the bowl in the fridge for 3 hours or until completely chilled. Then when you are ready to bake the cookies preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Spray your cookie sheet with non-stick spray or rub with butter before making the cookies. Roll the cookie dough into 1 inch balls and then roll them in powdered sugar and place on the cookie sheet.
• Bake the cookies for 15 minutes and then leave them on the cookie sheet for 5 minutes. Place them on the cooling rack to continue to cool and start your next batch. You should get about 4 dozen cookies out of the cookie dough so baking 1 dozen at a time is ideal.
Enjoy!
